The warm burning wick design of our soft wax container candles require specific maintenance to maximize performance.
- Trim wick to ¼ inch before EACH burn.
- Continuous burn time should not exceed three hours.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Burn on stable, heat resistant surface.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Keep wax free of matches, wick trimmings, or other flammable materials.
- Keep candle in a non-drafty environment.
- Discontinue use after ½ inch wax remains in the bottom.
A hard wax blend is used when making votives, cake candles, melts, and pillars. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn. For large cakes & pillars, burn candle for 3 hours (approximately one hour for each inch of wax diameter). Extinguish the candle and slightly “hug” the top of the candle. “Hugging,” or gently pushing the top rim of the candle in toward the wick, helps develop a good lip at the top of the candle so wax does not overflow. Do this each time the candle is burned. Always burn candles in appropriate heat resistant holders. Votives perform best in a tight fitting container. Never place Cake or Pillar candles directly on wood surfaces. |
